45 Anniversary Celebration
November 22 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
We’re Turning 45—And You’re Invited!
Forty-five years of grit, innovation, and Baltimore pride call for one unforgettable bash.
To honor where it all began, we’re rolling back the clock and recreating our original 1981 opening day. That means $1 admission for everyone, all day long.
Bring the whole family, tell your neighbors, and join us on the waterfront for a packed day of history, craft, and hands-on celebration hosted by our Master of Ceremonies, Evan Woodard of Salvage Arc.
What’s Happening:
Whether you want to test your skills, soak in local history, or just enjoy the view with good food and live tunes, there’s something lined up for every age:
-
Live History in Action: Watch sparks fly in the metalworking shop, roll up your sleeves for hands-on print making, and explore interactive trade demonstrations throughout our galleries.
-
Competitions & Games: Cheer on (or compete in!) our oyster-shucking throwdown, take on heritage yard games, and test your Baltimore trivia.
- Music & Community: Tap your feet to 80’s jams all afternoon, explore partner pop-ups, catch an 80’s flick in the theatre, or take in the harbor breeze.
Let’s celebrate 45 years of working, building, and making together—see you at the museum!
