Go behind-the-scenes with Baltimore’s brewing industry this spring. BMI members get exclusive access to three brewing-related programs across the city.

Tour + tasting – Thurs 4/2 @ 6 pm

Tour Diamondback Brewing Company in South Baltimore’s McHenry Row with co-founder Colin Marshall and preview their special BMI beer–Whirley Crane IPA–before its public release on April 3. Panel discussion – Thurs 4/16 @ 6 pm

Learn about the brewing supply chain from tank to tap with a panel of industry insiders at this 21+ evening at the museum. Guests will also enjoy an informal chat on the brewing industry with BMI research historian Joseph Abel, a complimentary sample of the BMI beer, and light refreshments. Film screening – Thurs 5/21 @ 7 pm

See a new side of the brewing industry through a screening of Grit and Grain at the SNF Parkway Theatre on North Avenue, followed by a Q&A with Diamondback Brewing Co. co-founder Colin Marshall. The BMI beer will be available on tap in the lobby bar. BMI members will receive Maryland Film Festival member pricing. Tickets will be on sale soon!

About our reciprocal programs

The BMI is a member of three reciprocal museum organizations. All BMI Builders’ Circle members receive GBHA and ROAM membership. BMI members at the Supporter level and higher also receive NARM membership.

BMI members of GBHA and ROAM will receive free general admission for themselves and one guest when visiting participating institutions

NARM cardholders receive free general admission when visiting participating institutions. Guests are not included.

Behind-the-scenes tours of local industries are one of our most popular benefits of membership. Notifications go out 3 – 4 weeks in advance via e-mail. Group sizes are limited and tours fill up quickly—so register early!

Maryland Zoo Reciprocal

During September and October, BMI members are welcome at the Maryland Zoo for free.

  • Free Zoo admission is valid for up to 2 Adults and 2 Children OR 1 Adult and 3 Children
  • Any additional people in your party will pay regular admission prices
  • A valid membership card & matching ID are required 
  • Caregivers are not eligible for reciprocity
