The Baltimore Gas and Electric (BG&E) Collection at the Baltimore Museum of Industry has more than 150,000 images ranging from the late eighteen hundreds through the 1980s.

Images depict scenes from Baltimore and the surrounding region. Taken as part of the company's daily operations, these photos capture many lost scenes of Baltimore life, including the city's architecture, citizens, and businesses. Because the BG&E photographers captured pictures of life in Baltimore across the span of the 20th century, the BG&E Collection shows the changing commercial, cultural, and physical landscapes of Baltimore.

Thanks to the generosity of Constellation Energy, the Baltimore Museum of Industry is working to preserve and digitize this valuable historic resource. While the project is ongoing, the database now contains more than 5,000 photographs and over 20,000 catalogued records.
