Baltimore Museum Of Industry

Boy Scout Programs

Boy Scouts of all levels can experience interactive programs at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Our programs help scouts learn about history, science, and culture while completing badge requirements. The museum teaches scouts about Maryland’s industrial heritage while having fun - all in just two hours!

Discovering Engineering (Webelos)

Test your thinking skills! Learn about the innovations that have revolutionized everyday life. Scouts become engineers by designing paper bridges, constructing a simple electrical circuit, and drawing a property plan.  Program leads to the completion of the Engineering Badge.

Get the Word Out (Tigers)

How did people communicate a long time ago? Visit the museum's Print Shop and Communications Gallery and see historic radios, TVs, and recording equipment. Play a game of "telephone" and print a special newspaper headline for your group.  Program leads to the completion of the Communications Patch.

Cost: $10.00 per scout, $5.00 per accompanying adult. Maximum of 20 scouts per session. Available weekday afternoons and weekends. To book a scout program or for more information contact 410-727-4808 ext. 117 or email tours@thebmi.org.
