Rental Rates for 2008/2009

  • Events are four hours. All rentals include two hours of set up time and one hour for the caterer and other vendors to clean up and load out.  Additional event hours may be purchased for $300.00.
  • An Event Supervisor will be on site throughout the event.  Additional staff will be on site, as needed. 
  • Museum galleries may be open and staffed for the first two hours of your event for an additional $150.00 per gallery.  These include the Garment Loft, Machine Shop/Oyster Cannery, and Print Shop.  Food and beverage service is permitted in the Transportation Gallery which may be rented for $250.00.
  • The following galleries remain open for free viewing: Pharmacy Gallery, Mercantile Safe and Deposit Exhibit, Bodine's Baltimore, "A City at Work'" and the Meyerhoff Theatre.
  • A Decker Gallery rental includes the outdoor Industry Terrace.  A Pavilion rental includes an area we refer to as the Point and the Cupola.  The first booking on any given date has first choice to use the available tables and chairs, (25 – 60” round tables and 200 folding chairs). 
  • To secure the date for your event, a License Agreement will be issued.  The signed Agreement, and a $2,000.00 deposit are due fourteen days after the License Agreement is issued.  $1,500.00 for the facility rental and a $500.00 security deposit. The balance is due one week prior to the event along with any additional charges including event hours, gallery opening fees, trash removal, etc.
  • Insurance coverage is required for every event.  This can be provided by procuring a one-day general liability insurance certificate, naming the Baltimore Museum of Industry as an additional insured or by obtaining a rider to your home-owner’s policy.  Proof of insurance is required one week prior to an event.

Decker Gallery and Industry Terrace

Friday - Saturday, 2008/2009:    $3,600.00                    

Monday - Thursday, Sunday 2008/2009:  $3,300.00

Outdoor Pavilion and Point

Friday - Saturday, 2008/2009:    $3,400.00

Monday - Thursday, Sunday, 2008/2009:   $3,100.00

Exclusive Use Of Decker Gallery, Pavilion and Surrounding Grounds

Friday - Saturday Evening, 2008/2009: $6,000.00, This includes a 5 hour rental, not four.

Monday - Thursday, Sunday, 2008/2009: $5,400.00,  This includes a 5 hour rental, not four.

Hercules Conference Center

3rd Floor Liberty:
    Room $500.00 full day
    $300.00 four hours or less

For an additional charge of $5.00 per person, guests attending meetings or classes in the Liberty Room or Cole Conference Room will be admitted to the Museum for self-guided touring.

Discounts

Non-Profit Organizations: 10% discount

Corporate Membership: 5%, 10% or 20% discount depending on Membership level.

Miscellaneous Fees

Wedding rehearsals per hour: $100.00

Use of Pavilion 6:00am – 1:00pm: $1,000.00

Exclusive Rental of Parking lot, subject to availability: $1,000.00

Use of dumpster, trash removal: $100.00
