Make It, Bake It Experience what it is like to work in a real cake factory. Children will tour the museum’s food processing exhibit and try their hands at making baked goodies in a real industrial oven. Take your treats home!
Pick a Pattern What did women and men wear 100 years ago? In this program, partygoers will tour the museum’s Garment Loft exhibit, try on clothing that people wore in generations past, and make their own clothing pattern based on styles from historical fashion magazines.
Design It Test your engineering skills! Working together, partygoers invent, experiment, and observe their work in action. Using found materials, children will design roller coasters, balloon powered cars, or paper bridges.
Boats Afloat Learn the skill of navigation. Using a compass and map, children will explore the museum’s historic waterfront then make a replica of the
Each program includes a mini-tour of museum galleries related to your program, a hands-on craft activity, and use of the museum’s private lunchroom for one hour following the program. All children receive a return visit coupon and an activity book to take home. Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments and decorations. Ask about our special food discounts from area businesses.
