The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Senior Tour Program at the Baltimore Museum of Industry Relive America’s Working Past Do you remember pastel-colored kitchen appliances, corner drug stores and neighborhood grocers with slamming screen-doors? Memories spring to life when you visit the Baltimore Museum of Industry, which tells the story of 200 years of Maryland's industrial heritage. Our recreated workshops and storefronts will take you back to the early years of canning, machining, garment making, printing... See our model A telephone repair truck... our replica of a 1900 bank... gas street lamps... treadle powered sewing machines... linotype machines - and so much more. Our "window-wall" gives a magnificent view of the Inner Harbor, and the S.T. Baltimore, our 1906 tugboat, which is docked at the pier. The BMI is pleased to offer seniors discounted admission to the Museum. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation has made this program possible through generous funding to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. The Foundation was established in 1959, and has become one of the twenty-five largest private foundations in the United States. Call 410.727.4808 x117 or email tours@thebmi.org to book a group tour. There is free parking on our premises, including accommodation for buses. Rates for Seniors: Individuals -$6.00; Pre-booked group - $4.00 per senior Visit for free! A senior membership cost as little $25.00 each year! Click here to learn more. |
